Official Raffle Rules & Terms of Service

Contest Name: The Fig Tree Web Design “Community Roots” Giveaway
Provider/Sponsor: Pocket Sand LLC dba Fig Tree Web Design (“Sponsor”)
Start: This giveaway begins at 12:00 PM (Noon EST) on February 20st, 2026.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A purchase will not increase your chances of winning. Void where prohibited by law. Not valid in New York or Florida.


1. Eligibility Requirements

To maintain a fair playing field for local small businesses, entrants must meet the following criteria:

  • Age: Must be 18+ at time of entry.
  • Location: Business must be physically located and operated within the United States, excluding New York and Florida.
  • Company Size: Must have fewer than 50 employees.
  • Business Type: Open to service-based and informational businesses. No e-commerce (online stores/shopping cart/checkout), corporate chains, or national franchises.
  • Status: Must be a new client (not currently under an active service agreement with Fig Tree Web Design).
  • Excluded Parties: Employees, contractors, officers, and representatives of Sponsor, and their immediate household members, are not eligible.
  • One Entry Rule: One (1) entry per business. Duplicate entries may be disqualified.

Sponsor reserves the right to verify eligibility and disqualify non-qualifying entries.


2. Entry Period, How to Enter, and Deadlines

  • Entry Period: From the Start Date until 11:59 PM on April 5, 2026 (EST).
  • How to Enter: Entries are accepted only through the official raffle page on figtreewebdesign.com/raffle
  • No Late Entries: Entries received after the deadline are not eligible.

Communications: Giveaway communications may occur via the contact forms on figtreewebdesign.com and/or via email using the address provided by the entrant.


3. The Prize

One (1) winner will receive our Signature Plan website package (the “Prize”).

What the winner gets:

  • A professionally built website (up to 5 pages) (informational/service-based).
  • Mobile-responsive design (looks great on phones, tablets, and desktops).
  • Hosting included with SSL security and standard performance/security upkeep.
  • Website copywriting included (we’ll write/refine your on-site text with you).
  • SEO foundations included (on-page structure + metadata basics).
  • Up to three (3) full revision cycles during the initial build phase.
  • Ongoing edits included (fair use): routine updates to basic business info and content changes are included; unusually large, frequent, or out-of-scope requests may be quoted separately.
  • Domain help included: if you already own a domain, we’ll help connect it; if you don’t, we can help you choose one and get it set up.

What’s not included:

  • No e-commerce / online store features (no cart, checkout, online payments, or product catalog).
  • No guaranteed rankings: Sponsor does not guarantee Google rankings, placement, or third-party platform decisions.

Prize duration (“Lifetime”): The monthly Signature Plan fee is waived for as long as Fig Tree Web Design continues operating and offering the Signature Plan, subject to the Service Agreement.

Contract Required: Winner must sign Sponsor’s standard Service Agreement to receive the Prize (see Section 6 for deadlines and forfeiture).
Taxes: Winner is responsible for any applicable taxes. Sponsor may require a W-9 and may issue tax forms as required by law.


4. Expected Timeline & Kickoff

  • Kickoff: Sponsor expects to begin the project within 3 months after the winner responds, subject to scheduling and receipt of required info.
  • Typical build window: Sponsor aims to complete most websites in approximately 30–45 days from project start, but timelines can extend due to delayed materials, feedback, or revisions.
  • Participation required: Winner agrees to provide needed photos/details and to give feedback in a timely manner.

5. The “Buy Now, Win Later” Guarantee

  • If an entrant purchases a website plan before the drawing date and is selected as the winner, Sponsor will refund 100% of all fees paid up to the drawing date.
  • Purchasing does not increase odds of winning.


6. Winner Selection, Announcement, Verification, and Forfeiture

  • Drawing: Winner announced April 6, 2026 at 12:00 PM (noon EST), unless otherwise announced by Sponsor.
  • Selection Method: Random selection during a Facebook Live event using a digital randomizer (spinner).
  • Odds: Depend on number of eligible entries received.
  • Privacy: Winner identified by First Name, Last Initial, and a Unique Entry Number on live stream.
  • Notification: Winner contacted using the email/phone provided via the raffle contact form.

Verification & forfeiture:

  • Winner must pass eligibility verification; failure to verify eligibility forfeits the Prize.
  • Winner must respond within 7 days, or Sponsor may select an alternate winner.
  • Winner must sign the Service Agreement within 30 days (one month) of being notified; failure to sign within that period forfeits the Prize, and Sponsor may select an alternate winner.


7. Ownership & “Website-as-a-Service” Model

  • Winner retains ownership of their business name, logo, text, images, and other materials they provide.
  • The website’s design, structure, and underlying code remain Sponsor’s intellectual property and are provided under a subscription-style (website-as-a-service) model. If services are canceled later, the winner keeps their domain and content, but not the site’s proprietary design/code, unless otherwise agreed in writing.


8. Third-Party Platform Accounts

To perform SEO and related services, winner authorizes Sponsor to help create/claim/configure platform accounts (e.g., Google/Bing tools) using role-based access where possible. Winner retains ownership of these accounts; Sponsor does not request or accept client passwords.


9. Disclaimers, Liability, and Release

  • Sponsor is not responsible for third-party platform changes, outages, moderation decisions, reviews, or suspensions (Google/Meta/etc.).
  • Sponsor’s liability is limited to the value of services rendered.
  • Governing Law / Disputes: Michigan law; disputes resolved through binding arbitration in MI via the American Arbitration Association.
  • Facebook/Meta Release: This promotion is not sponsored/endorsed/associated with Meta/Facebook; entrants release Meta from liability.
